No visit to Toronto is complete without a trip up the CN Tower for fantastic views of the city. Ripley's Aquarium of Canada next door is also well worth a visit. In the evening, go for a drink and a bite to eat in the chic Distillery District. At more than two centries old, St. Lawerence Market is a city landmark, offering everything from artisanal bread to fresh pasta and lobster. 

Of course, a trip to the iconic Niagara Falls and the wine town of Niagara-on-the-Lake would be hard to pass up and is possible or a day trip (or a slightly longer side visit) from Toronto.
