You've seen it in the movies, now is your chance to experience the California coast for yourself! To top it all we include a flight to Las Vegas and an optional trip to the Grand Canyon. This semi-escorted tour includes a perfect mix of guided and independent travel and sightseeing, taking in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Carmel, San Francisco AND Las Vegas.

Arrive into Los Angeles International Airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel with time to settle in prior to meeting your group in the morning.



This morning you will meet your local expert at breakfast and plan your time in Los Angeles together before embarking on an entertaining tour of Los Angeles. You’ll discover a true taste of Southern California with a visit to the most popular seaside communities like Marina del Rey, Venice- home of the famous Muscle Beach, and Santa Monica, with one of California’s oldest pleasure piers. You’ll also catch a glimpse of some of the glitz and glamour of Hollywood whilst checking out the Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese theatre, the Sunset Strip, Beverley Hills, and Rodeo Drive. This evening you have the option of joining your local expert at a concert or sports game, depending on availability and the group preferences.



Today your local expert will take you on a walking visit of the Los Angeles Observatory in Griffith Park for spectacular views of the city and Hollywood sign. Alternatively, you may choose to explore Los Angeles at your leisure, or take an optional full-day tour to the world’s largest movie studio and theme park – Universal Studios.



Today you will join a larger group *(maximum 50) and travel North along the beautiful Pacific Coast, passing through the iconic beach communities of Santa Monica and Malibu. Stop by the “End of the Trail” of Historic Route 66 before travelling on to Santa Barbara, where palm lined walkways border white sandy beaches. Stop for lunch and enjoy the city’s Spanish architecture before continuing to a quaint central coast town for an overnight stay.



Today we make our way north to Carmel, home to actor & director Clint Eastwood. Enjoy browsing the shops and galleries of this famous artists’ colony. Travelling further north, visit Monterey’s Old Fisherman’s Wharf. Stroll the Pier to Cannery Row. In the afternoon, pass the fertile valleys of Castroville and Santa Clara en route to San Francisco, the “City by the Bay”.



This morning, a fun walking tour provides an overview of the city and enables you to truly appreciate many of San Francisco’s famous sights including the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, Union Square and Fisherman’s Wharf. Your tour will include a ride on one of San Francisco’s historic cable cars. In the afternoon we collect bikes from Fisherman’s Wharf and pedal over the Golden Gate Bridge before boarding a ferry back across the Bay, welcoming unobstructed views of the notorious Alcatraz Island, and passing the famous Pier 39 sea lions. The rest of the day is at your own leisure.



Today we have a choice of optional excursions. You may choose to embark on a wine tasting tour to Napa Valley, world renowned for its fine wineries and beautiful scenery or visit nearby Muir Woods - a picturesque redwood tree-filled park. Alternatively, spend the day at your own leisure exploring all that San Francisco has to offer.



After breakfast we take a short shuttle transfer to the airport for a flight to Las Vegas. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Free time this evening allows you to experience the sights and sounds of this wonderland first hand. Walk the famous Strip, place a bet at one of the many casinos, dine at world class restaurants, catch the latest show, or enjoy the views from the “High Roller” – the world’s tallest observation wheel.



Meet your local expert for breakfast and be ready to take advantage of an insider giving you a tour Las Vegas-style. Be part of a day of dazzling sightseeing of the Las Vegas Strip and Downtown Las Vegas. Explore the stunning Bellagio Conservatory or watch an indoor storm gather at Planet Hollywood complete with thunder, lightning, fog and pouring rain. The rest of the day is at your own leisure to explore the many attractions Las Vegas has to offer.



A second full day to enjoy Las Vegas. Maybe join an optional full day tour to the Grand Canyon by plane or helicopter. Otherwise you could enjoy world-class shopping at the designer outlets. Tonight, take in the bustling casinos, see a Broadway-calibre show, stroll the famous Strip to see its nightly entertainment including the fountain show at Bellagio.



Your tour ends after breakfast. Bid farewell to the new friends you have made and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
